Job Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a Creative Artworker who will be part of the BBC World Service’s multi-platform news service within the BBC Creative department. You will be responsible for the creative designing, artworking and branding deliverables for the BBC’s international news services, incorporating the services that will be launched as part of the W2020 programme.

The World 2020 programme aims to increase the impact and reach of BBC World Service, spending £290 million pounds specifically allocated by the government over the next four years.

Main Responsibilities
As a Creative Artworker you will implement print and digital creative brand assets to support the BBC News single brand roll out. You will be responsible for creating artwork to very high standards and also interpreting briefings from the Senior Designer or Senior Creative Artworker to meet the delivery requirements of the project. The Creative Artworker will deliver high quality creative outputs with meticulous attention to detail and to tight deadlines, while taking a proactive role in shaping multiplatform creative outputs. the successful candidate must be able to build strong relationships with other BBC Creative colleagues, Senior Designers and Senior Creative Artworkers, Freelancers and also World Service and Global News Ltd Marketing Managers.

The Ideal Candidate
The successful Creative Artworker will have a sound knowledge of print, digital and animation graphics with a minimum of 2 years experience. You will possess meticulous attention to detail and have experience of using relevant industry standard applications, like Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Indesign as well as good knowledge of HTML and the Microsoft Office suite, especially Powerpoint. You must have a portfolio of production work ready and available which will illustrate your appreciation of design. it is also important to have good knowledge of brand guidelines and principles with an ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities effectively in a complex, fast-paced business environment with strict deadlines. Ideally, you will have a natural flare for strong layout with good typography skills and be meticulous with file structure and working practices.
