Coral/Ladbrokes’ Community Managers are responsible for implementing the social media strategy across our owned and sponsored channels. You’ll work within a collaborative team to develop and deliver compelling content that excites our fan base and delivers against our business objectives. You’ll work closely with our agency partners as well as the wider brand marketing, digital marketing, trading and PR teams to create imaginative ways to communicate our brand and services on social media to over half a million active fans.

You’re highly creative, motivated and organised; with a killer instinct for a great emotive story and the ability to generate fun and engaging content around it. You have great attention to detail as well as the common sense needed to respond to a difficult situation appropriately. You’re as comfortable working collaboratively as you are independently. Most of all, you share our team’s passion for social media and our commitment to customer service excellence.

(* *Please note: the successful candidate must be able to work shifts between the hours of 8am – 10pm, most Saturdays and some Sundays (shorter shifts at the weekend).

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • Degree education is preferred but is not essential.

Specialist Skills and Experience Required:

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in sports marketing, advertising, social media or journalism. Recent graduates with relevant work experience as part of a degree programme will also be considered.
  • Exceptional sports knowledge with a particular focus around football, your knowledge of the Premier League and major European clubs will be second to none.
  • Demonstrated excellence in copy writing and visual editing.
  • High level of comfort and familiarity with all major social media networks; you regularly participate personally and professionally. You have a keen understanding of how the audience on each channel differs, which types of content work best here, as well as how to measure success on the different platforms.
  • Good basic maths(GCSE C+ grade or equivalent), you’ll need to grasp odds changes and comparisons quickly.
  • Experience using publishing, video editing and analytics tools, Photoshop and MS Office.
  • Good understanding of the principles of the marketing mix and how social media fits into integrated brand communications .
